Picture above: Shows the two home made tools fabricated to replace oil seal on the Valkyrie.  The left object is the fork tube with the PVC pipe and 2" Sch 40 pipe tie wrapped around it. The oil seal was just driven home prior to this picture. The tool will then be removed by cutting the plastic tie straps and removing. The other tool to the right is essentially a pipe that was hand ground to provide a cross at the end. This was necessary to remove the nut  on the left fork. The right fork wouldn't need it.

Tim Hollingsworth was sporting a big grin when he said he likes his new Yamaha 1100 V Star.

Candice Spurlock told me that if you visit the AMA's Motorcycle Museum, that you will see a "Wall of Honor". It has names such as Malcom Forbes and Jay Leno. It also has some of our present and former members. Don Spurlock, Joe "Stroker" Burnett, and Karl Murray.

Don Spurlock has been in the Retreads a long time. He joined well before the Houston Chapter was formed. Has a lot of knowledge about the history of the Retreads Motorcycle Club. I am looking forward to him writing an article about it in a forthcoming issue of the newsletter.
